Handmade gifts are so thoughtful! One year I made all my nieces and nephews crocheted teddy bears! It was a definite labour of love but seeing them play with them made it totally worth it!

That is so cool. I wish I could crochet but every time I try it just goes horrible wrong hehe.

I make miniature sugar cookies during the Christmas holidays and give them away as hostess gifts! It takes time, and some years I’m too sick to bake. This year, I’m hoping to be well enough to bake.
If you would like to see a photo of the sugar cookies, there’s a recipe on my blog under the “Recipes” tab. It’s the exact same recipe I use. 🙂

Great suggestions. I love giving/ getting handmade gifts. It always feels so much more personal and like more thought has gone into it. I gave some homemade gummy sweets last year and loved adding them as a stocking filler x

Great ideas – hadn’t thought of quite a few of these and I love giving home made gifts. Just found an excellent recipe (I hope, if my execution doesn’t fail) for nougat so doing that with rocky road and tiny plum pudding balls – now I just have to ensure I don’t eat too much of it.
And that is the problem.

I LOVE giving homemade gifts, but I try to limit how many I am giving out each year so that I don’t over-commit myself with the rush of the holiday season. Working on a cross stitch piece for someone right now 🙂
