I love making Christmas decorations. It’s one of my favorite Christmas things and something I love to do alone or with the kids or family and friends.
The thing I love doing the most is making paper stars. I’ve loved them since I was a kid and I make a lot of them every year. I was down to less than 4 min per star, but my fingers aren’t so nimble anymore so I’ve gone up a bit.
A classic Christmas decoration is the heart, made to be filled with goodies and candy. I like to hang them in my windows to give that extra Christmas feel for people looking at my apartment.
Paper cuttings is another thing I do a lot for Christmas. I’ve already made a bunch of them but haven’t gotten my hand on a good branch to hang them from.
But that’s the thing with my Christmas decorations. I often never get to use it all, and it’ll end in the Christmas box until next year where I might have room for it somewhere. For me it’s the cozyness of making it that’s important.
Do you ever make any paper decorations for Christmas?
The only decorations we’ve made is when I was a kid, we used to collect conkers and wrap them in gold / silver paper. They made really pretty decorations! x

Homemade decorations are beautiful. Even when they are lopsided or crooked, or even a little bit imperfect, they mean so much more on the tree!
