January roundup

January is coming to an end, and what a start of 2020 it’s been.

I started out getting sick on January 2nd. So the day I had to say goodbye to my boyfriend and send him back to Finland and his school, I had a fever and was coughing my lungs out.

I was sick until the 12th so had to call into work that first week. And can I just say that calling in sick is one of the things I hate the most. I work for a small family owned company so if someone is sick everyone have to work harder. And then to top it off with it being the first week of January and I felt guilty even with fever and coughing and chest pain. I finally got well enough to go back to work, but the coughing is stubborn and is sticking around even if the doc can find no infection in my body.

The blog:

So I had a bit of a slow start in January since I was sick, but then it picked up. I managed to plan a full 6 months and have scheduled my blogposts until the middle of March.

It feels amazing having all this planned and all the work done and I’m already starting to add posts to the last half of the year.

My Weightloss:

So December was sooo bad. It started out well enough and then around the 20th when I went to my parents everything went down hill and I basically put on every kg I had lost in 2019.

So January was the perfect time to start over, except sick. But I have been keeping to my diet since the 13th and even though my weight isn’t showing a lot, I can feel how much my body enjoys being back on the healthy track.

January start weight: 87,3 kg

January end weight: 85,3 kg

Gains/loss – 2kg

February goals:

– lose 2 kg

– write are least 10 blogposts

– get outside more

– start doing yoga three times a week

How has your first month of the year been? Tell me in the comments ❤️

Love, Tea

  1. Ah, I’m so sorry you were sick at the beginning of the month, but you seem to have more than made up for it, and your blogging sounds super productive. I wish I could be that organised, my posts are winging it from one day to the next, haha. Good luck with your February goals 🙂

  2. Starting out the month sick is a real shame, but I feel like everyone I knew was also sick. I personally have had colds a bit on and off, but managed to get a lot done this month too.

    Hopefully February treats you better.

  3. Well done on the weight loss! I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling great. I think you will completely smash your February goals! Best of luck with them all ♥ I’ve had such a crazy January, I didn’t have time to write anything new for my blog – I have a goal for Feb to get on top of this!

    1. Sometimes life just gets in the way. I’ve started planning and working ahead so I got my blog posts scheduled all the way into March, which helps when life gets crazy. It removes some of the stress

  4. I always have lots of ideas and draft posts. When I have a few free hours then I work on those posts. It feels great to have one’s posts all prepared and all we need is to push the publish button. So amazing you have so many scheduled posts! Sorry to hear you were sick, it sucks when we have to miss work but it is not our fault. I’m glad you are feeling better.

  5. argh being sick sucks, especially when its during the first few weeks of a new year! And I feel you so hard about calling in sick for work, I hate doing it as well and I always feel so anxious and guilty when I do it. I am so envious of how organised you are in terms of blogging, thats amazing how far in advance you have scheduled posts!

  6. Sorry to hear you’ve been so poorly – it’s never nice but I think combined with January being such a long and miserable month it seems to make it even worse! Hope you’re feeling better now and that February is a better month for you 😘 x
