Morning routine

I’ve seen a lot of these posts around, and I always think they are so fun to read, so I decided to do my own. My early morning routine changes depending on if the kids are with me or not. As the early morning routine with the kids are mostly trying to heard two kids around to get them out the door at the right time, I’m gonna concentrate on my no kids mornings.

My alarm goes off at 7 am and I normally spend around 10 min in bed. I write good morning to my boyfriend as the first thing every morning and then just check the news and social media.

Then I get up and in the shower, which takes like 10 min. Sometimes I do a face mask before the shower if my face feels extra dry. Then it’s out the shower, dry off and put over water for tea/coffee. I get dressed while the water boils, and then make my big cup of morning brew. Getting dressed is quite easy as my normal outfit is jeans and a sweater. Not much to think about hehe.

Once I got my morning brew of choice, I do my face creams, makeup and hair. I also fix my nails if they need it and apply hand creams and so on. My morning beauty routine is easy and quick. A good face cream, foundation, some matte powder, brow pen, eyeliner and mascara, and a lip balm. My hair air dry so all I need to do is brush it and let it do its thing. Then I do a quick tidying up, making my bed, and putting stuff away.

Morning routine

I aim to be at my computer a few minutes to 8 am so I can join the morning twitter threads. I spend normally around 30 min reading and commenting on blogposts, and then it’s time to work on my own blog. I try to write a blog post at least 3 times a week, and the other times it’s planning and other blog jobs.

At nine it’s another twitter thread, and then around 9:20 I have to make my lunch and get ready for work. My hair is always in a ponytail so that takes around 3 sec.

At 9:45 I leave for work as I’m lucky that my work is just around the corner.

  1. It sounds like you have such a productive morning, Tea! Writing blog posts, planning and commenting all before 9.20 is very impressive. I wake up at 7am as well, have breakfast then do yoga, otherwise I would spend all morning on social media! Thank you for sharing, always enjoy reading about others morning routines ❤ xx

    1. Thank you for commenting. My morning routine have been completely disrupted these last days, as all schools have closed and I can feel my productivity go down as I don’t have the routine.

  2. I’m so jealous you get time to blog in the mornings! But then, if I started work at 10 I still probably wouldn’t get up at 7… I like my bed too much! Sounds like you have it all figured out 😊

  3. I love reading different morning routines! Mine is usually get up (different times everyday depending on what time im in work), get ready and go out the door. I live quite far away from work so never have time for a proper breakfast or even time to really go on my phone in the morning!

  4. Oh wow, that is definitely a very productive morning! I love reading these kinds of posts and watching videos too! I guess I’m just a little nosey! Haha! It’s amazing that you’re able to get all of this done and that your work is only around the corner! Great post!

    1. I’m so lucky with my workplace being close. When I get a new apartment I’ll probably be futher away, but probably still only 7 min on a bike 😛 one of the good things of living in a smaller city

  6. Love this! First hing I do when I wake up is go on the Spotify app and play a morning upbeat playlist. It’s my little trick to help me feel more energized for the day!
