Another month have gone, which honestly feels crazy. How are we already 3 months down this year? Wasn’t it new year like 3 weeks ago?
Life:
Life this month have been absolutely crazy. So, it all started out pretty well. I bought my new (used) bike. It’s wonderful. A soft baby pink, and runs like a dream. I took it for a wonderful spin on an early spring day with loads of sun, and even though my ankle protested a bit, it was such a nice feeling. And I can’t wait for the weather to warm a bit so me and the kiddos can go on bike rides to the forest.
Then the virus truly hit and everything shut down. Borders, shops, everything. Then me and the kids got sick and we had to self isolate at home. I don’t think we had the corona virus (but have no idea since they at that point was running low on tests and therefore had stopped testing mild cases) but it still meant a week shut indoors.
Then I went back at work, and got fired. I can’t say it was totally unexpected since every single company is bleeding money and I’m working for a small family owned company that’s been hit pretty hard. But it still sucks because I actually love my job no matter how much I moan about it. But, they said they wanted me back once it all turns around again, which is super encouraging.
But, since I can’t afford not to work I had to find something else. I had decided to take a few days to kind of get my mind straight and then get right in to looking for a job, but that night my mom saw a small webshop looking for someone to work temporarily for them while one of their workers were on maternity leave. I quickly dusted off my resume and cv, sent it off and that same night I got a message back if I would like to meet for a talk. So know I’m just waiting with baited breath to hear if I got it or not.
Blog:
The blog is doing so good, though it’s been suffering a bit under the stress of the corona virus, with being sick and homeschooling. But, March was the month of it’s 6 months birthday. It has been a great 6 months and I’ve learned so much and met so many wonderful people.
To “celebrate” the birthday I decided to do a few changes. I changed a bit on the layout and cleaned up in the categories so they better fit with what I want the blog to be about.
Weightloss:
I am keeping up with my weightloss and have added a few exercise challenges to help tighten up my body a bit.
My weightloss totally stalled on me at the beginning of march and I was stuck on 81,3 kg (+/- a few hundred grams) for so long I was close to saying fuck it all. But I stuck with it and it finally decided to start moving down again, though of course had to take a small trip over 82 for two days just to freak me out a bit.
When I got below 80 it was such a big thing for me. I haven’t been below 80 in so long, and it’s just motivating me more and more. I can also feel my energy levels going up and I can actually do more things than I used to. And I can honestly say that I would never have gotten this far if I didn’t have my boyfriends support. Every time I get tempted I write him and he helps me not fall into the pot of sugar so to speak. He also patiently listen to all my cry baby messages when I’m craving something like pizza or bread 😛
So, the numbers:
March Start weight: 81,3 kg
March end weight: 79,3 Kg
Gain/loss: – 2 kg
Total Loss: 8 kg
Goals:
I think I did pretty okay with my march goals. I lost 2 Kg, which is 1 kg less than my goal but is still awesome, especially because I was stuck on 81 for 1/3 of the month. I wrote more than 10 blog posts which I’m a bit amazed by. I have been doing my exercises, though they haven’t been yoga every single time, but that’s more than okay. And I’ve read/heard 3 books. All in all a pretty productive month.
For April I’ve been a bit more careful with my goals when it comes to my weight. The lower I get the more reluctant my body gets and I don’t want to set myself up for failure. And as long as I stick to my diet I’ll get to my goal eventually.
April goals:
– Find new job
– Lose 2 kg
– Do exercise/yoga/stretching every day
– Read 2 books
– Write 10 blog posts
I hope you all had an amazing March, and I hope your April will be sunny and bright and filled with smiles.
I’m glad that overall you had a good month, Tea! Well done on the weight loss, I know how hard it is to avoid all the sugary stuff and junk food when life is so uncertain and strange right now. It’s great that your boyfriend is so supportive. Hopefully you hear some positive news about the new job too, I shall keep my fingers crossed for you! ❤ xx

I have that planner, the one in the first photo. It looks bigger in the photo than in real life. I originally bought it to use as a notebook but it ended up being too big for my scrubs pocket and too small to use as a desk planner. 😂

hehe I found the pic online and fell in love. Sucks that it’s too small though 😛

I was looking for a small pocketbook. It was too big for my pocket but too small to use as a planner. Now I use it to jot notes down, since I seem to lose sticky notes.
