It’s Christmas, can you believe it?
I’ve been waiting for Christmas for so long and now it’s finally here.
2020 have been a mess so far, and everyone have been in great need for some cheer, and Christmas is definitely doing that for me. I decorated the whole apartment the day before the first advent, and it just makes me so happy to see all my decorations out on display again.
This year things are of course different. Corona is still looming over us and everything have to be done with safety in mind, and to top it off I’m determined to keep my diet going through most of December (Christmas eve and new years eve not included) so I can’t do the normal Christmas baking and making confections.
But, I just keep reminding myself that this is all gonna pass. Corona when the vaccines are in effect, and my diet once I reach my goal weight.
And, it’s not like everything about Christmas is about food (though it sometimes feel like it) and me and the kids are doing loads of other Christmassy things.
Our favourite thing is to spend time making paper crafts. Stars are my favourite, and I got my hands on the details on a big paper ball I tried too. The kids really like to make hearts, and it’s always such a nice thing to do together as a family. We normally drink tea or hot cocoa, and listen to Christmas music while doing it.
